How to Watch Lions vs. Seahawks: Time, Channel, Streaming Options
The Detroit Lions are heading home to play in front of a fanbase that is chomping at the bit to cheer and support a team that has demonstrated they were worthy of all the preseason hype.
Facing off against the Seattle Seahawks at Ford Field will prove to be a challenging test, as Pete Carroll's squad features a stellar rushing attack and talented, young defensive backs.
"I think anything that starts with Seattle is their head coach, and it’s been this way ever since he’s been there," said offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. "They are going to play hard, and they are going to play fast. And that’s not just defense, that’s offense and special teams as well. I think that’s been a constant ever since he’s been there, so we know we’re going to get a group that’s hungry, that flies around to the football.
"They play physical, that shows up from this group right now," Johnson continued. "They have some younger guys that maybe we don’t have a ton of film on, particularly on the backend there. I know (Seahawks CB Devon) Witherspoon sounds like he’ll be playing this week. He’s a guy that we thought highly of coming out of Illinois and just not much tape on him right now."
