Jamaal Williams: 'We Taking the North'
Detroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams has become quite the popular guest to interview.
When a player records 17 touchdowns in a single season and has one of the last viral interviews of the regular season, it is not surprising the veteran running back has been making the rounds on the interview circuit before the Super Bowl.
After appearing on "Good Morning Football" last week, the talented running back appeared on ESPN's "First Take" and "The Jim Rome Show" on Wednesday.
When asked by Stephen A. Smith about competing with the Packers and Vikings, Williams expressed confidently, "It don't matter. We taking the North. The change has started. The tide of the season change, it has started."

Speaking with Rome live on radio row, the interview started with the veteran sports radio host attempting to learn all about anime and checking in to see if someone his age is allowed to live the "nerd" lifestyle.
After being given various assignments to get caught up to speed in the world of anime, Williams expressed how the Lions can take one step forward in 2023.
"We're trying so hard," Williams said. "Like these first two years, like even the first year was trying to just flip it off as soon as we can to flip it up. Let them know that this is a different team. And I feel like they understand that. They feel it. The fans feel it from us, just how much we're trying to win. We trying to do our best out there. We doing the best we can. But, at the same time, it's still the NFL. You know, there's great players on every team."
Williams continued, "It all comes down to just finishing games -- three, probably three major plays in the game that we got to succeed on. And, once you do that, then you win the game."
