Jameson Williams Acknowledges What Everyone Is Saying

The No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 draft only received one target against the Panthers.

The Detroit Lions should look to incorporate one of their rookies just a little more, in their planning efforts, the final two weeks of the NFL regular season.

Rookie wideout Jameson Williams, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, was only targeted once against the Carolina Panthers.

The 21-year-old did not record a single reception against the Panthers, as the Lions went on to lose in convincing fashion, 37-23.

While the speedy wideout may not become the focal point of the offense until some point in 2023, it is quite a head-scratcher to not incorporate a talented offensive weapon more, especially given the high stakes for the Lions

Many supporters took to social media to question the Lions for both their offensive and defensive gameplans

"Get the ball in Jameson Williams hands, man. I don't wanna hear it," one supporter posted on social media.

After the game, Williams liked the post on his Twitter page, shedding light on his competitive nature.

Following a loss, it must have been frustrating for Williams to be used so little in the team's biggest game of the season yet.

“Credit to those guys. They got after was pretty good, and that was, that's a hard pill to swallow there. You say things, but ultimately when you play that way, it falls on me," Lions head coach Dan Campbell said after the game. "I didn’t have them ready to go, and that wasn't good enough. That was a hungry team we played, and we didn't look as hungry as they did. That’s the bottom line."
