'He's Good': Jameson Williams Returns Healthier
The Detroit Lions are tasked with getting healthy during a short week.
After winning Sunday, they now face just three days to prepare for Thursday's showdown with the division rival Green Bay Packers.
The team has been bitten by the injury bug, as they were without several starters in Week 3. In the win, they also saw two linemen suffer injuries. Though Jonah Jackson played all 70 snaps Sunday, he was listed as a limited participant with a thigh injury.
A total of nine players were listed on Monday's estimated practice report, including three players as non-participants -- Matt Nelson, Frank Ragnow and Halapoulivaati Vaitai.
Campbell said that Nelson will be out for the foreseeable future, as he will undergo surgery on his ankle and will be placed on injured reserve.
Rookie Colby Sorsdal could be in line for a bigger role Thursday after playing over 50 percent of snaps in Sunday's win as a result of injuries.
"Certainly, we've got him in there guard and tackle," Campbell explained of the rookie. "We've been working with him a little bit and of course that's his first real NFL game playing right tackle. But yeah, he's certainly an option."
Williams back in the building
With Jameson Williams' suspension having crossed the three-game threshold, he is able to return to the facility. However, he will be barred from participating in practices or attending games.

He will be able to return to team meetings, Campbell said Monday. The coach added that he is healthy after suffering a hamstring injury during the preseason.
"He can be in meetings, but that's about it for now," Campbell explained. "We'll have him out here training a little bit, but until further notice he can't practice with us or anything, so we're kind of in that boat right now. It's good to have him back, he was in the team meeting, it was good to see him and be around the teammates, so we'll see what we can do."
The wideout is eligible to return to games in Week 7. The Lions are currently exploring whether Williams can participate in player-led post-practice work that backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater often leads.
Evaluating Packers in 2023
Campbell evaluated the Packers' offensive attack Monday afternoon . He assessed what has gone well for the NFC North rival during their 2-1 start, including the changes in the offense as it has transitioned quarterbacks from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love.
"I feel like there's a lot more, you know, like a system if you will. More than, probably alternatives, audibles, checks at the line," Campbell stated. "They've got plenty of that, believe me, they're gonna get in the right play, but I think there's a little more, it's this or that and here we go, here's the look, let's run it. That way you can play fast and do what they do well but certainly they want to run the ball. Everything starts with the run with them and we'll see if they get Jones back, certainly Dillon's running well and that goes a long way. They've got speed on the perimeter, as we know. Tight end's playing pretty good and then there again, this defense, it's a good defense. So we'll have our hands full."
