Jonah Jackson to Sign With Rams
The Detroit Lions will have to replace a member of their offensive line.
Though the organization was able to retain Graham Glasgow, left guard Jonah Jackson has found a new home for the foreseeable future. Jackson has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Rams worth $51 million over three years, per reports.
Jackson will receive $34 million guaranteed. He leaves a hole at the left guard position for Detroit, as he had been big part of the team's success.
Jackson had been a mainstay for the Lions’ offensive line since coming to the organization as a third-round pick in 2020. In four seasons, he started 57 games and was a Pro Bowl selection in 2021.
However, Jackson has struggled with injuries over the last two seasons. He missed six total games between the regular and postseason last year, including the NFC Championship game.
In Jackson's absence, the Lions relied on Colby Sorsdal and Kayode Awosika to fill the void.
He will serve as an addition to a Rams' offensive line that recently re-signed fellow offensive guard Kevin Dotson. Jackson will also reunite with former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who played his final campaign with the organization in Jackson's rookie year.
