Among the most popular storylines this week ahead of the Detroit Lions' Wild Card playoff matchup with the Los Angeles Rams is the return of quarterback Matthew Stafford.

The 35-year-old signal-caller expressed excitement about the opportunity to play at Ford Field this week, as his Rams team is one of the hottest teams in the National Football League.

All week, a significant portion of the fanbase must wrestle with how to approach the veteran's return, knowing his current mission is to eliminate the Lions from the postseason.

Stafford's tenure in Motown was polarizing. Some fans supported his gritty nature, while others were constantly disappointed that his time in Detroit did not produce wins in the postseason.

A local Detroit sports apparel line has taken to social media to boldly declare its stance regarding the Rams' current starting quarterback.

"Please don't wear a Lions-Stafford jersey to the game. This is not a time to be cute or funny," The DLine posted on social media. "This is about business and putting the final nail in the SOL coffin. It ain't personal. Just business!"

Kelly Stafford, who has never shied away from sharing her opinions on various social media platforms, expressed her disappointment with certain Lions fans not wanting to support her husband.

The popular podcast host replied, "Well, this is sad, because it’s the completely opposite of how we feel about this city. But, Matthew has always been the bigger person, and will continue to be that. Praying for an incredible game with zero injuries."
