The Detroit Lions will now turn their attention to improving in order to take further steps forward.

Even though the 2022 season has now officially concluded, the level of optimism from pundits and the fanbase has elevated quickly.

After defeating the Green Bay Packers, 20-16, at Lambeau Field, the Lions officially finished in second in the NFC North, only behind the Minnesota Vikings.

“We knew what we were coming in here for, and it was to gain some respect and show what we’re capable of no matter what happened," said Dan Campbell. "We knew the only way to do that is to win. So our guys were locked in, they were unaffected by that, because we knew what the objective was.”

Grades: Lions Take Over Lambeau Field

The last time the Lions reached the postseason was back in 2016.

As a result, Campbell and Co. will face the second place teams from the NFC East, NFC West and AFC North on their schedule.

Also on the schedule are every team from the AFC West and NFC South.

Detroit will play nine road games next season after playing at Ford Field nine times in 2022.

One area of interest will be if one of the games on the current schedule will take place overseas.

Home: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, Seattle Seahawks

Away: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens
