Branch, Jackson, Gibbs Out Week 6, LaPorta Questionable
The Detroit Lions are attempting to manage running tough practices, but at the same time trying to keep the roster healthy.
Unfortunately, several injuries have occurred during the week of preparation for upcoming games the past several weeks.
"There's always a balance," said Dan Campbell. "You do the best you can with it and, inevitably, this is a tough game and things pop up. You manage them the best you can and then, there again, next guy has got to be ready to go."
Left guard Jonah Jackson has been ruled out against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, forcing the coaching staff to choose from a couple of different options.
"There again, we've got guys in this building we trust," Campbell explained. "Vaitai's had a pretty good week of practice. Certainly we know what Graham brings to the table for us. Yode's (Kayode Awosika) gotten better, so we've got options. Skip's (Dan Skipper) back, ready to go. So, we've got a couple of different scenarios, situations that we can go through here and we've kind of rolled through them. We feel good though."
Other Lions that have been ruled out include Brian Branch, Jahmyr Gibbs and Josh Paschal.
Both Sam LaPorta and Khalil Dorsey listed as questionable.
