As the Detroit Lions prepare for their final game of the 2023 preseason, several players are still fighting for spots on the Lions' 53-man roster.

One of those individuals is wide receiver Antoine Green, a seventh-round pick of Detroit this past April.

Green has put together a decent showing in his first career training camp. Yet, heading into Detroit's preseason finale Friday in Carolina, he still has some work to do in order to cement his spot in the team's receivers room.

All Lions caught up with the first-year wideout Wednesday in Allen Park, and touched upon a variety of topics, including how Green's inaugural camp as a pro has gone up to this point.

1.) What is your overall assessment of the last month of training camp?

Antoine Green: “It’s been pretty fun, honestly, just learning, making plays. Of course, you’re going to make mistakes out there. But, it’s about learning and just catching a rhythm with everything. So just learning the offense more and more, and being around the guys has been fun, for sure.”

2.) What was your early mindset coming into your first training camp?

Green: “Just be a sponge and consume as much as you can, and just be coachable all the time. I mean, that was my mindset coming into training camp, so that I could go out there and make the plays that I need to make.”

3.) What has been your early assessment of Ben Johnson’s offense?

Green: “It’s definitely explosive, I’ll say that. Just seeing the history of it, like last year, how the offense was and I know one of his goals is being one of the top offenses, or the No. 1 offense in the league. So, just being able to be a part of that, and he has a great mindset when he attacks the game, so being a part of that type of offense is fun.”

4.) What’s the key to establishing consistency and stacking days of quality reps in training camp?

Green: “I mean, like I said, being coachable. Coming out and showing up to work every day, and Just taking that critical advice (from coaches, peers in receivers room), honestly. So, being able to hear that, and just moving forward throughout the next day, figuring out how I can get better. That’s definitely how you can build consistency.”

5.) Take me through your touchdown in Tuesday’s live scrimmage. What was it like scoring that touchdown?

Green: “Yeah, it was definitely fun. I was running wide open on an over route, and Teddy (Bridgewater) looked right at me and tossed the ball my way. So, it was definitely a layup, and it was all good.”

6.) What are your thoughts on the preseason finale against Carolina?

Green: “I think it’ll be fun going back there, because I went to North Carolina. So, going back to that state and playing them will definitely be fun, because I played there (Bank of America Stadium) like four times already. So, being able to play them and being in that stadium again will definitely be fun.”
