Lions Dealing with Rash of Illnesses, Hutchinson Out due to Ankle Injury
The Detroit Lions are dealing with a sickness throughout their locker room that will keep a number of players out Monday.
Among the players who will likely miss Day 14 of the team's training camp are cornerback Cam Sutton and Brady Breeze.
Additionally, defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson will not practice with an ankle injury, Lions head man Dan Campbell revealed.
Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley will continue to be sidelined for the foreseeable future, as Campbell gave an update on his status.
"I would say he's on track, but it's gonna be a while. It'll be a while," Campbell told reporters, prior to practice Monday. "Kind of like what I said when we started camp, everything is really gonna be pushed back four-to-five weeks from what we originally thought. But, he was already four-to-five weeks ahead at that point, so we'll see. He's doing good, though. He's doing great."

Running backs Jermar Jefferson and Mo Ibrahim are among the others sidelined Monday. Jefferson missed the preseason opener against the New York Giants, while Ibrahim left and later returned with an apparent injury.
The Lions will have Craig Reynolds, who also missed the opener, in action for individual drills on Monday.
Kalif Raymond is "self-made man"
The Lions extended wide receiver Kalif Raymond in the hours leading up to their preseason opener Friday.
The wideout and punt returner has experienced a career renaissance, since joining the team in 2021. He's earned the trust of the Lions' brass, and was rewarded as a result.
"Leaf's a self-made man. It's a credit to him," Campbell expressed. "He's the one who's given himself this opportunity. He's proved himself since he's been here, and he continues to prove himself. He's somebody that embodies everything we're about, he's overcome a lot. He works every day, he's smart, he's productive, he's versatile and he's one of our guys."
Notes
1.) The Lions have made a plethora of recent roster moves. On Monday, they waived injured wide receiver Trey Quinn, while signing wide receiver Avery Davis and center Alex Mollette.
2.) Davis had already spent time on the roster early in training camp, while Mollette was signed to replace injured center Ross Pierschbacher.
