The Detroit Lions have slid one position in the NFC playoff standings.

Heading into Week 12, the Lions were the No. 2 overall seed in the NFC playoff standings.

Unfortunately, the Green Bay Packers spoiled Thanksgiving in Motown, playing one of their best games of the season to eventually secure a 29-22 victory against Detroit at Ford Field.

The San Francisco 49ers were able to defeat the Seattle Seahawks, 31-13, in primetime on Thursday

As a result, the NFC West leaders moved up to become the new No. 2 seed, dropping Detroit down to the No. 3 seed.

Quarterback Jared Goff, who has been struggling with an increase in interceptions and fumbles, expressed teams are certainly gearing up to play Detroit, but the team still possesses a hunter's mentality, as the continue to pursue the NFC North division title and the highest possible playoff seed.

"We’ve had some success up to this point. We’re 8-3 and 8-2 before today and yeah, teams are going to give us their best shot. We’re leading our division. This is a divisional opponent. They came in ready to play and did a great job. I don’t know if it changes how we approach the game," said Goff. "We’re still hunting a whole lot. We’re still hunting first overall in our division and then whatever we can get after that, but yeah, it’s a long road ahead and we’d like to still be on the offense of hunting what we’re trying to get.”

NFC standings

1.) Eagles

2.) 49ers

3.) Lions

4.) Falcons

5.) Cowboys

6.) Vikings

7.) Seahawks
