Lions' Injury Updates: Jameson Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown
Dan Campbell provided injury updates Thursday on top receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams. Both left practice early Wednesday.
Williams left after pulling up while running a deep route. He appeared to be grabbing his hamstring area, and was able to walk off the field under his own power.
"I don't feel that way," Campbell said of the wideout playing this week against Jacksonvile. "There's a good chance it could go through the preseason."
The coach later clarified that he would know more about Williams' preseason status after Thursday's practice. He stated that it was "probably unlikely" that he would play in the preseason.
The hamstring injury that Williams is currently dealing with is not the same as the one that kept him out of camp earlier in the summer.

St. Brown, meanwhile, had his ankle taped, and jogged in the end zone. He never left the field, but did not return to practice.
Campbell anticipates that the USC product could be back any time from Monday through the team's preseason finale against Carolina.
The preseason was considered a pivotal juncture for Williams, who simply lacks game reps through the early part of his career. Campbell had planned to douse the second-year wideout in preseason snaps, but that may no longer be an option.
"He misses the reps. That's a chance to get full-speed, full-tilt reps," Campbell said. "The timing of the pass game, lining up, all of it. Moving versus press, through the zones. So yeah, there will be a setback with it. Listen, you take it as it comes, I'm not gonna sweat it. As long as he's willing to continue to grind with the playbook, we'll take it as it goes."
Notes
1.) As a result of the injuries to St. Brown and Williams, the Lions may be in the market to add another wide receiver to their roster in training camp.
