Lions Re-Sign Graham Glasgow
The Detroit Lions took a step toward keeping their offensive line intact for the 2024 season.
Detroit agreed to terms on a contract extension for offensive lineman Graham Glasgow, keeping the veteran with the organization for the next three seasons.
According to ESPN, the deal is a three-year, $20 million contract that includes $9.5 million in guaranteed monies.
Glasgow was one of two starters set to be a free agent on the Lions' offensive line, with Jonah Jackson being the other.
Glasgow returned to Detroit after a stint with the Denver Broncos. He provided important depth early, then became a starter at the right guard position when Halapoulivaati Vaitai suffered an injury.
Glasgow would not relinquish his spot and provided versatility, starting games at both guard positions as well as center for the Lions. With Frank Ragnow dealing with injuries, Glasgow's versatility kept the offensive line in a good spot.
Originally a 2016 third-round pick by the Lions in 2016, he started 58 games over four seasons before signing with the Broncos ahead of the 2020 season. With the Broncos, he started 33 of the 37 games he appeared in.
After being released by the Broncos last offseason, he signed a one-year deal to return to the Lions. His presence was a welcome one, as he maintained relationships with prominent players in the locker room like Ragnow and Taylor Decker.
The Lions' offensive line is one of the league's best. Right tackle Penei Sewell is one of the best at his position in the league, having earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2023.
When healthy, Ragnow is among the best centers in the league. Additionally, Decker has performed at a strong level since being a first-round pick in 2016.
