Lions' Week 8 Friday Injury Report

Lions released Friday's injury report.
In this story:

The Detroit Lions are seeking a return to form when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders, in front of a national audience Monday night.

Their secondary may get a boost with the return of Jerry Jacobs, who missed Sunday's game against Baltimore after a knee injury suffered late in the week. The defensive back has been a full participant in each of Detroit's practices this week.

Should Jacobs be active, he may draw the assignment of covering Davante Adams throughout Monday's matchup.

Many are familiar with Adams from his days in Green Bay, where he offered a tough matchup for the Lions consistently. Now, though he dons a new uniform, the Lions will be prepared to stop the All-Pro wideout.

“Patience, because he’s very patient. He’s going to force you to make a move. Because he has this knack with most of the quarterbacks he’s played with," defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn said of Adams. "To understand exactly how he plays, it’s almost like he’s playing basketball. I remember a guy that played in Buffalo, Steve Johnson. A man, he kind of reminds me of him. Probably not the 40-yard fastest guy, but man, just quick twitch, with the movements of his routes off the line. You don’t see a lot of guys, and he is one of a kind, I will say that. He is one of a kind.”
