Lions WR Ruled Out, Houston, LaPorta Questionable
The Detroit Lions are quite healthy heading into their Divisional round showdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The team ruled Kalif Raymond out for Sunday's game, but is otherwise mostly healthy heading into the matchup.
Raymond has handled punt-return duties for the duration of the regular season, but suffered a knee injury in the finale. He missed last week's game against the Rams, and Donovan Peoples-Jones handled returns in his place.
Several players listed on the injury report throughout the week, including Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph, did not receive designations for the game and are active.
Dan Campbell said Friday that the team was still deliberating whether or not James Houston will play in Sunday's game. Houston was activated from injured reserve Thursday, but his status remains uncertain.
The Lions are looking to advance to the NFC Championship Game for only the second time in the organization's history, with the last appearance having been on Jan. 12, 1992.
As a result, Campbell has focused the team on attacking the opportunity it has in front of it.
"The guys, look, I mentioned something about it the other day. They know we only have three left here, and then you get a bye," Campbell said. "You get a bye after two, and then you get the third one. So, there's only three left here, but it all starts with one. And, that's really the process all year, no matter where you're at. If you lost one, you won five in a row. Now you're in the playoffs, man. It's all about the one in front of you. You have to stay focused on that."
