LIVE BLOG: Follow Detroit Lions Preseason Game vs. Carolina Panthers
The Detroit Lions are set for their preseason finale Friday night against the Carolina Panthers.
It's the team's only road trip of the preseason, giving Detroit a look at what it will be like playing outside of the friendly confines of Ford Field.
Many of Detroit's starters are once again expected to sit out the game, meaning that they will go the entire preseason without a single game rep.
This will give plenty of players still vying for a roster spot the chance to impress the coaching staff one final time before final cuts are made.
"I mean, we have an idea," Lions head man Dan Campbell said earlier in the week. "We feel pretty good about this is where we're thinking, but that doesn't mean our minds are made up either. So, yes, absolutely, there's some guys that still have an opportunity to catch our eye."

Expect Teddy Bridgewater and Nate Sudfeld to get opportunities under center. Detroit also has position battles at running back, cornerback and on the offensive line that should take center stage.
Friday is an important game for players such as Starling Thomas V, Steven Gilmore, Chase Cota and Dylan Drummond. All four undrafted rookies have had strong performances in camp, and need to take advantage of their final game reps.
