Not that this is any breaking news. There has been a growing sentiment that the officiating in the NFL is subpar. 

It's incompetent and it is ruining the sport. 

Following the Lions 23-22 loss to the Packers, Twitter erupted as everyone watching noticed not one, but two phantom hands to the face calls go against the Lions. 

Love to hear my man Booger call it like it is, and rip the refs, in real time with no stuttering and stammering. The officiating has been embarrassing all season, and again tonight...

That is sickening... the @NFL needs to look at a way to prevent that from happening. Two phantom hands to the face calls really hurts us tonight. Yes, we could have scored TDs, but @Lions played too well to have the game end this way. #DETvsGB @espn
