Reasons to Be Thankful for 2023 Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions have built a winning culture.

The Detroit Lions have provided their fanbase a jolt of what gives passionate sports fans reasons to embrace an NFL franchise: Hope.

After early struggles, Dan Campbell and his coaching staff have taught their young football team how to overcome struggles and battle, on and off the field.

Josh Reynolds explained to All Lions this week the preparation in practice has allowed the offense to excel this season, especially in two-minute situations.

"I think it is our preparation every day," said Reynolds. "Coach Campbell does a great job of putting us in situations in practice. Sometimes we're not able to get on it full speed, but to be able to just kind of mentally think about it and mentally prepare for situations like that, it just, it makes it so much easier when you're actually in the line of fire and the bullets are going full speed."

With Detroit having the opportunity to play more in front of nationally-televised audiences, the NFL world has now been given the opportunity to get a peek at what is being built in Motown.

In the past, many would be clamoring for Detroit to be booted off the Thanksgiving schedule. Now, Detroit is a ratings draw, having been featured in numerous primetime games in the past 12 months.

I am thankful this football team resembles an organization and roster that is less dysfunctional and more in line with how elite franchises operate.

"I think that was a a testament to Campbell and his staff just establishing that culture. And, it started from when they got here. A lot of people always want immediate impact, immediate results. It don't happen like that," said Reynolds. "I think now you're kind of seeing -- we're seeing the fruit of our labors finally, finally sprouting.

"It's awesome to be able to kind of be a part of it and to see it come to fruition, because we talked about it every day for two years, for two years now. And, to finally be here, it's cool."
