Here’s a look at the snap counts from the Detroit Lions' preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars: 

Offense

Quarterbacks

Quarterback Nate Sudfeld saw a reduction in his playing time against the Jaguars. 

With the debut of Teddy Bridgewater, rookie Adrian Martinez did not play in Detroit's second preseason contest. 

Running backs

  • Craig Reynolds: (26) 52% -- Five special teams snaps (20%)
  • Jermar Jefferson: (16) 32% -- Four special teams snaps (16%)
  • Benny Snell: (8) 16% -- Four special teams snaps (16%) 
  • Jason Cabinda: (7) 14% -- Seven special teams snaps (28%)
  • Devine Ozigbo: 11 special teams snaps (44%)

Detroit did not rotate much in the first half, as Reynolds saw the majority of offensive snaps against the Jaguars. 

Tight ends

  • James Mitchell: (31) 62% -- Nine special teams snaps (36%)
  • Brock Wright: (20) 40% -- Two special teams snaps (8%)
  • Darrell Daniels: (10) 20% -- 10 special teams snaps (40%)
  • Daniel Helm: (1) 2% -- Seven special teams snaps (28%)

With Daniels seeing added reps, Helm had his role reduced, as he only played one offensive snap against the Jaguars.

  • Antoine Green: (38) 76% -- Eight special teams snap (32%)
  • Chase Cota: (35) 70% -- Six special teams snaps (24%)
  • Dylan Drummond: (31) 62% 
  • Trinity Benson: (14) 28%
  • Avery Davis: (11) 22%
  • Jason Moore: (2) 4%

Green, who the coaching staff wanted to see more consistency from, played the most among the wide receivers that suited up. He finished Week 2 of the preseason with one reception for 18 yards.

When asked why Campbell played into the second-half, Detroit's third-year head coach expressed, “Let’s let him go a little bit. Let’s let him play. He is, man, speed of the game, picking it up, playing faster. And we feel like the more he plays, the more we’re going to see out of it.”
