Two additional Detroit Lions will appear at this year's Pro Bowl.

Due to the San Francisco 49ers advancing past Detroit and earning a Super Bowl berth, running back Christian McCaffrey will not be appearing in the skills competition this year.

Rookie Jahmyr Gibbs was named as his replacement, and wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown is replacing A.J. Brown, who was forced out of the competition due to injury.

St. Brown did express a little public frustration at being snubbed for the Pro Bowl, but being named to the All-Pro squad on the first-team certainly eased his agitation slightly at how he is perceived across the National Football League.

Gibbs and St. Brown will now join five other teammates, including Frank Ragnow, Sam LaPorta, Penei Sewell, Aidan Hutchinson and Jalen Reeves-Maybin.

Detroit's talented, third-year wideout expressed after losing to the 49ers that while the loss stings, the team must regroup and improve in several facets next season.

Detroit Lions 2024 NFL Offseason Primer

“I feel like, going into next year, teams, they’ll be ready for us probably. They’re not gonna be thinking, ‘Oh, that’s the same old Lions as before.’ But, that doesn’t matter for us as a team. We got this far this year, but it wasn’t enough," said St. Brown. "So, next year, we’ve got to do more, we’ve got to be better. Whether that’s getting the one seed, having home-field advantage, whatever it is. We’ve got to be better.”

This 2024 Pro Bowl is scheduled to occur on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 3 p.m. ET, and will air on ABC/ESPN.
