Amon-Ra St. Brown Has Most Career Receptions of 2021 WR Draft Class

Amon-Ra St. Brown was the steal of the 2021 NFL Draft.

In the 2021 NFL draft, 16 wide receivers were drafted before Amon-Ra St. Brown heard his name called.

After two seasons, the 23-year-old wideout has more career receptions than any of the wideouts selected that season (196).

On many occasions, St. Brown has showcased his ability to name each and every wideout that was drafted ahead of him.

The perceived slight has fueled the young wideout, as he has diligently worked to meet his potential.

Quickly, St. Brown made himself part of the core group of Detroit's roster, as the team looks to build upon the success of the 2022 season.

In 2023, the offense could target St. Brown more often, even on deep passes.

Currently, he has a career average of 10.6 yards per reception.

Becoming even more of a deep threat would expand the options for Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who is quickly becoming one of the most respected offensive minds in the NFL

As a result of his productivity early in his NFL career, ESPN draft analysts Jordan Reid and Matt Miller ranked the ex-Trojans wideout as the 48th biggest draft steal of the past decade.

"St. Brown followed up a 912-yard rookie season by surpassing 1,000 receiving yards and becoming the No. 1 option in Detroit in Year 2. Not bad for a fourth-rounder. Working primarily out of the slot, the USC product is an electric pass-catcher who is a key building block for an ascending roster," the ESPN NFL analysts opined about St. Brown.

St. Brown ranks fourth in both yards (2,073) and touchdowns (11) among his peers in the 2021 draft class, through two completed seasons.
