Amon-Ra St. Brown Ranked Top 30 NFL Player
Detroit Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown has quickly established himself as one of the top young players at his position.
At just 23 years and 61 days old, St. Brown broke the team record for the youngest receiver with a 1,000-yard season in 2022. The talented wideout set the mark in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers, breaking Calvin Johnson's old record.
Quarterback Jared Goff sees the 23-year-old continuing to improve throughout the offseason and entering the conversation of being a superstar.
"I couldn't agree more. He's entering that part of his career where he's coming into his own," Goff said during Super Bowl media week. "I think that Year 1 to Year 2 is where you see that. From him, certainly you saw that last offseason and into the season. Can he continue to improve and continue to do all the right things? I've got my money on yes. It's fun to work with him and be on his side."
In its recent ranking of the top 101 NFL players, Pro Football Focus has St. Brown ranked at No. 28.
"St. Brown may not have the same skill set as some other dominant receivers, but it’s difficult to overlook just how effective he has been for Detroit despite little help around him," writes Sam Monson. "This season, he was one of six receivers to post a 90.0-plus PFF grade, and he dropped just four passes from 139 targets."
Teammate Penei Sewell also cracked the list this year. The offensive lineman earned the No. 77 spot in this year's rankings.
