Super Bowl Predictions: Chiefs-Eagles

All Lions provides its predictions for Super Bowl 57 between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Christian Booher

Super Bowl 57 is set, and the matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs is certainly exciting. Patrick Mahomes was recently named the NFL's MVP, and will be going for his second ring in six seasons.

To me, this game will be decided by whichever team can run the ball more effectively. In my eyes, the Eagles' run game will be incredibly difficult to stop. It offers a unique package that many other teams can't, purely for its depth in the backfield and quarterback Jalen Hurts' rushing ability.

With this multi-headed attack, I believe the Eagles will overwhelm Kansas City's defense. Mahomes will certainly keep it close, but Philadelphia's ability to consistently run the ball will take precious time off the clock in crunch time.

I predict that this game will be an instant classic, as Mahomes has proven time and time again that he's never out of a game. However, the Eagles' defense is up to the task of slowing him down, and will get enough stops to secure the win.

The two No. 1 seeds -- the Chiefs in the AFC and the Eagles in the NFC -- going head to head to decide who reigns supreme in the NFL this season. The league couldn't have scripted it any better than this matchup for Super Bowl 57.

The game also pits two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL today against one another: the Eagles' Jalen Hurts vs. the Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes, the 2022 MVP, already owns one Super Bowl ring, and was runner-up in another "Big Game." Meanwhile, Hurts is making his first Super Bowl appearance.

Despite all his success as an NFL passer, Hurts, a second-round pick of Philadelphia in 2020, continues to be doubted by several pundits and fans alike.

I think he quiets those critics this evening with an efficient performance, one which sees him both throw and run for a touchdown.

Also, I think the Eagles make a key stop or two of Mahomes & Co., with veteran EDGE Brandon Graham leading the effort on the defensive end for Philly (just as he did in Super Bowl LII against Tom Brady and the Patriots).

I think the above proves to be enough for the Eagles in a Super Bowl contest that goes down to the wire.

This contest has the potential to be very evenly matched. Both defenses are playing well, and will look to pressure the opposing quarterback.

I see the Eagles being the more complete team, but the Chiefs have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL

In the end, the Eagles' rushing attack, led by Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders, will be able to wear down the Chiefs' defense in the second half.

Hurts and Sanders combined for 2,049 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns in 2022.

With the best offensive line in football, successfully running the football will open things up for the Eagles top playmakers.

It's time again for everyone's favorite February NFL tradition... the Super Bowl. This year, the Kansas City Chiefs will square off against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite being a pretty even matchup on paper, this one is a pretty easy pick for me. I'm taking Jalen Hurts and the Eagles to win the big game.

Given how the Eagles performed all season, including against the Lions, this one is a no-brainer for me.

On the other side, with QB Patrick Mahomes a little banged up, I think Kansas City will have an upward climb against Philadelphia, which, in my opinion, is the more well-rounded team.

Lastly, I'm pulling for former Lions Darius Slay and Ndamukong Suh to get a championship.

I am looking forward to watching the game with friends on Sunday, as well as rooting for the Eagles to get the job done.
