WR Tom Kennedy Visits Lions
The Detroit Lions brought back a familiar face for a visit to the team's Allen Park practice facility.
Tom Kennedy, who became a very popular member of the roster among supporters, was placed on injured reserve and waived with an injury settlement prior to the season.
During training camp, the gritty wideout was injured when rookie linebacker Jack Campbell landed on him after securing a tough reception.
Detroit currently has one open roster spot, as veteran wideout Marvin Jones and the team came to a mutual agreement to part ways.
The veteran wideout left the team to attend to family members out West.
Currently, the wideouts on the active roster include Jameson Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds, Kalif Raymond and Antoine Green.

Dan Campbell was asked this week how surprised he was the team suffered a blowout loss, as the Ravens were able to win in Week 7, 38-6.
“I can’t say I’m surprised. I mean, here’s the thing, I’m surprised because I know us. I know the coaches. I know these players and I don’t expect that," said Campbell. "But, when you’ve played long enough and coached long enough in this League, man, unfortunately, they happen. From time to time, they happen.
"And you just can’t get out of your own way and it’s – that was one of those games the harder we tried, the worse it got," Campbell continued. "And we started, we have one guy mess it up and he’s not doing what he's supposed to be doing and then because of that, the next time, the guy who does know what he’s supposed to be doing is going to do his job too. And because of that, then we get beat here and it’s a snowball effect. And by the time we get in the second half, we’ve got guys who are trying to be heroes. ..."
