Tyreek Hill Praises Jared Goff: 'I'd Go Play with Him'
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has started to gain an increased amount of respect across the National Football League.
After Detroit's stellar performance offensively in 2022, many current players have noticed the Lions are a team that is poised to break out in 2023, due to their youth and talent at multiple different positions.
It can be argued Goff had one of his best seasons as a pro in 2022, working with Detroit's coaching staff.
Goff's play has caught the attention of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who expressed an interest in playing with the 28-year-old quarterback (if the opportunity were to present itself).
During a recent gaming session online, the speedy wideout commented about what he thinks about Detroit's veteran signal-caller.
Hill expressed, when put on the spot and asked about Goff, “Jared Goff? I like Jared Goff. If I had the option to go play with Jared Goff, I’d go play with him.”
Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson turned down potential head coaching opportunities to return to Detroit and lead the offense for another season.
Among the reasons given is the close relationship that he developed with Goff over the past 12 months.
"Yeah, it's a testament to him. He's gone through a lot through his career," Johnson told the team's website. "He's seen a lot of coaches come in and come out, and he's really been steady throughout. I think it's helped him grow as a player and as a teammate. So, it's been encouraging."
For Hill, his massive four-year deal worth $120 million runs out following the conclusion of the 2026 season.
