Update: Taylor Decker, David Montgomery Will Suit Up

Beat writer updates injury status of Taylor Decker, David Montgomery.
In this story:

After NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero expressed that Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker and David Montgomery would not play against the Green Bay Packers, a conflicting report has emerged.

Detroit News beat writer Justin Rogers posted on social media, "I've been informed by a team source that Decker and Montgomery will suit up tonight and the NFL Network report from this morning is incorrect."

The report caught many off guard, as it directly conflicted with what Lions head coach Dan Campbell and the players stated all week to local reporters.

Decker suffered a high ankle sprain in the opener and David Mongtomery has been dealing with a thigh bruise.

Both expressed this week that if it were up to them, they both would play against a divisional rival.

Also, cornerback Emmanuel Moseley will not be making his debut.

Campbell indicated the game has a lot of similarities to what the Lions faced last week against the Atlanta Falcons.

“There are a lot of similarities. There are a lot of similarities in what they do. Probably these guys more than Atlanta, there’s a lot more of the turbo motion, the fast receiver motion run game and some of the passes off of it. Atlanta did a little bit, not as much," said Campbell. "More of theirs was odd-ball formation, shifts, two-back, the 21-pony stuff. But as far as, man, everything’s built off the run, play-pass off of it, they do have a lot of similarities. And both of those guys are mobile quarterbacks. They have the ability to -- it’s not something that they hang their hat on, but they can hurt you with their legs.”
