Vaitai Out, Onwuzurike Doubtful Against Chargers
The Detroit Lions have ruled Halapoulivaati Vaitai out of their Week 10 matchup at the Los Angeles Chargers.
On Friday, the team released its final injury updates and designations for Sunday's game. Vaitai is out, while Levi Onwuzurike is doubtful.
Vaitai has been out of the starting lineup since suffering an injury in week two. He returned to action with his first offensive snaps against Baltimore in Week 7 but is now dealing with a back injury.
No injury designations were provided for Khalil Dorsey, David Montgomery, Jonah Jackson or Frank Ragnow. That signals that all four will be active. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Dan Skipper are questionable.
"We'll see where he's at and how he feels," Campbell said. "Feels like we have everybody back. Frank and Jonah look good and obviously the other three are in a good spot. So we're back to full strength right now."
The Lions will make the trip to SoFi Stadium after enjoying their bye week last week. The long flight from Detroit to California will offer players an opportunity to relax before hitting the field Sunday.
“Yeah, I think they’ll be good. Look, I think they’re going to enjoy this. They get to kick their feet up on the plane, it’ll be a nice trip, have fluids, take a nap, watch a movie, look at your playbook. So, I think that they’ll be good," said Campbell. "I think we will have put in a good week of work. This will be a trip that I believe they’re looking forward to. And then you wake up at your leisure Sunday and we go play. So, I think we’ll be good.”
