The 2024 NFL schedule is out and all the primetime games have been revealed. This year's ESPN / ABC / ESPN+ schedule consists of 23 games in just 18 weeks and two of them fall on the final Saturday of the season. If you don't count the Saturday games, then Monday Night Football will feature four double-headers this year. Last year there were just three.
Weeks 1-11 are set in stone with double-headers scheduled for weeks 3, 4, 7, and 16. However, there could be games flexed between weeks 12 and 17 "at the league's discretion." Those games can only be moved from Sunday afternoon and the NFL has to make the decision at least 12 days in advance. That means that the double-header in Week 16 could get shaken up and you'll definitely have to wait until late December to find out who will play when in Week 18.
ESPN, ABC and ESPN+ will also carry a playoff game on the Monday night of wild card weekend. With all that in mind, here's the initial schedule, subject to change.
2024 Monday Night Football Schedule
Below you'll find a table with the full 2024 schedule for Monday Night Football, including the double-headers. Week 18 is not included because, as previously stated, the matchups are not yet determined.

Below you'll find a more in-depth, week-by-week breakdown of the full Monday Night Football schedule in 2024.
Week 1
New York Jets @ San Francisco 49ers
Where: Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
When: Monday, September 9, 8:15 p.m. ET
Channel: ESPN, ABC
Aaron Rodgers will make his second start as quarterback of the New York Jets after missing all but one game last year with a torn Achilles. The 49ers, meanwhile, embark upon their NFC title defense and hope this is the year they finally break through to secure the franchise's sixth Super Bowl.
Week 2
Atlanta Falcons @ Philadelphia Eagles
Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
When: September 16, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
Kirk Cousins returns to primetime as the starting quarterback of the Falcons. Jason Kelce makes his return to The Linc as a member of ESPN's Monday Night Countdown, while the Eagles try to reverse course from a truly horrible end to last season.
Week 3
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Buffalo Bills
Where: Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
When: September 23, 7:30 p.m. ET
Channel: ESPN
The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off two straight 9-8 seasons under Doug Pederson. The Buffalo Bills have won 10+ games in five straight seasons under Sean McDermott. Neither team has made it past the divisional round since 2020.
Washington Commanders @ Cincinnati Bengals
Where: Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
When: September 23, 8:15pm
Channel: ABC
The presumptive primetime debut of Jayden Daniels, should he win the starting job at Commanders' training camp. Otherwise it could be Marcus Mariota versus Joe Burrow. The Bengals' quarterback spent most of last season fighting through injuries, as Cincinnati missed the postseason for the first time since his rookie year.
Week 4
Tennessee Titans @ Miami Dolphins
Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, FL
When: September 30, 7:30pm
Channel: ESPN
First time head coach Brian Callahan will try to make Will Levis look more like Joe Burrow as they take on the Miami Dolphins, Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa and what should be one of the strongest wide receiving corps in the NFL.
Seattle Seahawks @ Detroit Lions
Where: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
When: September 30, 8:15pm
Channel: ABC
The Detroit Lions are hosting Monday Night Football for a second consecutive year. My, how times have changed. Dan Campbell and an even richer version of Jared Goff will try to continue the success of last year's run to the NFC Championship. Football fans will see Mike Macdonald pacing the sideline in place of Pete Carroll.
Week 5
New Orleans Saints @ Kansas City Chiefs
Where: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
When: October 7, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
The Saints have been a .500 team since Drew Brees retired while the Chiefs have won two straight Super Bowls. Taylor Swift may be in attendance since she's taking a break from touring in September and October.
Week 6
Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets
Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
When: October 14, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
Aaron Rodgers versus Josh Allen. At least that's the plan. This could be a huge game for the Jets who will have to catch the Bills and Dolphins this year if they want the Rodgers experiment to be a success.
Week 7
Baltimore Ravens @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
When: October 21, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
The Ravens came close to making the Super Bowl last season. The Bucs made the playoffs. That's right, two playoff teams face off in primetime and the only competition is ESPN+ streaming another game that might be just as interesting.
Los Angeles Rams @ Arizona Cardinals
Where: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ
When: October 21, 9pm
Channel: ESPN+
At halftime of Ravens - Bucs, switch over to stream the Rams and Cardinals. Sean McVay bounced back from a Super Bowl letdown to get the Rams back in the postseason and they still didn't give him an office with a window. Meanwhile the Cardinals drafted Marvin Harrison Jr., who could prove to be just the weapon Kyler Murray has been waiting for.
Week 8
New York Giants @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Where: Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA
When: October 28, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN, ABC
There was a time when Russell Wilson truly cooked in primetime games. That time was not the last couple seasons, but now he's with Mike Tomlin. Just know that if Daniel Jones isn't the starting quarterback when this game takes place, the Giants are probably in a lot of trouble.
Week 9
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Kansas City Chiefs
Where: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
When: November 4, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
Taylor Swift's tour picks back up on November 14th in Toronto, so she should be at this game too. And what a treat getting to see the Bucs on Monday Night Football for the second time in three weeks.
Week 10
Miami Dolphins @ Los Angeles Rams
Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
When: November 11, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
The Dolphins and Rams both make their second and final MNF appearances of the season - unless something interesting happens at the end of the year. It's fair to still call McVay one of the hottest young head coaches in the league since McDaniel is three years older.
Week 11
Houston Texans @ Dallas Cowboys
Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
When: November 18, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
The battle for Texas, but both teams are good for once. We should know by then if CJ Stroud and the Texans are for real while any result will cause every talk show to discuss what's wrong with the Cowboys.
Week 12
Baltimore Ravens @ Los Angeles Chargers
Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
When: November 25, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
The Harbaugh Bowl. The Harbowl. Whatever you want to call it, this will be the first time John and Jim Harbaugh have faced off on the sidelines since Super Bowl XLVII more than a decade ago. Since then Jim has gone on to win a college football championship and John has just kept winning in Baltimore.
Week 13
Cleveland Browns @ Denver Broncos
Where: Empower Field at Mile High Stadium, Denver, CO
When: December 2, 8:15
Channel: ESPN
The Browns made the playoffs last year, but lost with Joe Flacco at quarterback. Deshaun Watson returns this season and we'll finally see if he can be good again. Meanwhile, Sean Payton will be playing a rookie quarterback he's convinced reminds him of Drew Brees.
Week 14
Cincinnati Bengals @ Dallas Cowboys
Where:AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
When: December 9, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN, ABC
With a healthy Joe Burrow, this game could be a ratings monster. Who cares what actually happens, the Cowboys in primetime is just good business which is why they're currently scheduled for six primetime games in 2024.
Week 15
Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings
Where: US Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
When: December 16, 8pm
Channel: ABC
Finally, Caleb Williams versus JJ McCarthy. In theory. Who knows how long any rookie quarterback will last. While Williams has already been named the starter, McCarthy will have to beat out Sam Darnold and Nick Mullins.
Atlanta Falcons @ Las Vegas Raiders
Where: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, NV
When: December 16, 8:30pm
Channel: ABC
The Falcons have won seven games in five of the last six seasons. Then they signed Kirk Cousins and drafted a backup quarterback. Antonio Pierce got the team behind him last year to win the head coaching job. Now he just has to win to keep it.
Week 16
New Orleans Saints @ Green Bay Packers
Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
When: December 23, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN
Not getting Jordan Love and the Packers until almost Christmas seems like a missed opportunity, but for some reason the NFL would rather feature Aaron Rodgers' new team than his old team. Even if they're an actual playoff team. This could be the game that knocks the Saints out of playoff contention.
Week 17
Detroit Lions @ San Francisco 49ers
Where: Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
When: December 30, 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN, ABC
NFC Championship rematch? NFC Championship preview? Why not both. These were the two best teams in the NFC last year and a lot of that success should carry over. By the time this game rolls around the No. 1 seed could be on the line. Think of the ratings!
Week 18
Where: TBD
When: Saturday, January 4, 4:30pm / 8:15pm
Channel: ESPN, ABC, ESPN+
Your guess is as good as mine!
