Dating to their time dominating together at Fresno State, Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams and Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr are close friends.

On Thursday, they will renew acquaintances in a preseason game at Winnipeg. On Saturday, Carr said he wanted a shot at Adams.

On Sunday, I asked if it was accurate that Carr had the insight needed to cover Adams. Adams’ response is in the video above.

During their two seasons together, 2012 and 2013, Adams caught a ridiculous 233 passes for 3,031 yards and 38 touchdowns. Perhaps more telling of their success, the Bulldogs went 4-9 with Carr the sophomore quarterback in 2011, 9-4 and 11-2 together in 2012 and 2013, and 6-8 in 2014 with both players off to the NFL.
