GREEN BAY, Wis. – Adam Schein, who hosts a show on SiriusXM as well as CBS Sports Network, read about the Green Bay Packers’ struggles on offense and fired off a hot take about Jordan Love.

First, it was the play on words. “I loathe Love. Despise Love.”

Schein hasn’t been at practice but all he had to do was read a story about practice to know the first-year starting quarterback is going to be a “disaster.”

“This is a flat-out debacle. It’s also predictable because Jordan Love can’t play football. Simple as that,” Schein said.

CBS Sports Network posted the clip …

… and linebacker De’Vondre Campbell fired off a response that ripped Schein’s wardrobe, glasses and take.

Schein “disrespected my QB by saying he can’t play football. He only has one career start let him play at least half a season before you open your big dumb ass mouth.”

Headed into Saturday’s Family Night, it’s true that Love has struggled to complete passes. In fact, in six live practices, he’s 50-of-94 passing for 53.2 percent. However, he’s part of an incredibly young passing attack that could feature three second-year receivers, a rookie receiver and two rookie tight ends. That young offense is going against the strength of Green Bay’s defense.

Nonetheless, without having seen him play, it’s apparently all Love’s fault.

Defensive players are calling out the offense, Jordan Love can’t do a damned thing,” Schein said. “Last night must have been hell for the fans of the Green Bay Packers who had to see Aaron Rodgers’ on the Jets’ sideline. … This is going to be predictable disaster with Jordan Love in Green Bay.”

Of course, Schein’s not the only person who believes Love won’t be good enough. Love, though, is focused on himself and not the critics.

“That’s been my biggest thing right now is just block out the noise, block out the distractions the best I can,” he said this week. “A lot of it is staying off social media right now. It’s training camp, so it’s not like we have a lot of time anyways to be on social media. But that’s been my biggest thing: just blocking that stuff out because I don’t think it’s really going to do any good for me, for my mental, seeing whether it’s good or whether it’s bad. I just try to focus on myself, be the best version I can be.”
