Four-Point Stance

One: At Atlanta, the Packers were pummeled by running backs Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. The Saints might not have either part of their dynamic duo, with Alvin Kamara finishing his three-game suspension and former Packers runner Jamaal Williams sustaining a hamstring injury during Monday night’s victory over Carolina. With Detroit last year, Williams paced the NFL with 17 rushing touchdowns and had his first 1,000-yard season.

Two: The Saints are 2-0 for the first time since 2013 thanks to a 16-15 win at home against Tennessee and a 20-17 win at Carolina. A big key has been their red-zone defense. They’ve allowed one touchdown in six possessions, their opponent touchdown rate of 16.7 percent being the third-best. Green Bay’s offense is tied for No. 1 in the red zone with five touchdowns in six possessions, good for 83.3 percent.

Three: Here’s a big-time matchup. Packers quarterback Jordan Love is No. 1 in the NFL in passer rating, thanks in large part to his league-best six touchdowns vs. zero interceptions. New Orleans ranks second in opponent passer rating at a mere 57.5. Led by Marshon Lattimore with four, they’ve broken up 13 passes, third-most in the league.

Four: New Saints quarterback Derek Carr is 22nd with an 80.1 passer rating, well behind Love’s 118.8. Carr has just one touchdown vs. two interceptions, though he’s been far more efficient with a 63.8 percent completion rate. Love is the No. 1 beneficiary of yards after the catch while Carr is No. 2 in air yards per completion.
