GREEN BAY, Wis. – It was one heck of a weekend for Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who led a blowout victory in his playoff debut on Sunday.

Before Love drew national acclaim for his three-touchdown masterpiece at the Dallas Cowboys, he went viral for trying to be a Good Samaritan following the blizzard that dropped more than a foot of snow on Green Bay.

“I was in the parking lot and I saw her trying to back out and her tires were spinning, and I just asked if she wanted me to help try and push real quick and see if we could get it moved,” Love explained on Wednesday. “I tried. It was unsuccessful but she said somebody was coming with a shovel to help.”

It’s about the only thing that didn’t go well for Love, who took a seat on the bench with a 48-16 lead in the fourth quarter. At the time, Love had a perfect 158.3 passer rating. When the Cowboys cut the margin to 48-32, Love came back into the game. His third-down incompletion left him a 157.2 rating.

Nonetheless, it tied Houston’s C.J. Stroud for the best playoff debut and broke the record for best passer rating in a playoff road game. The previous record-setter? Packers legend Bart Starr with his 143.5 mark in the 1966 NFL Championship Game in Dallas.

“Everyone was flowing,” Love said. “Offensively, defensively, special teams, everyone was executing at a high level and it was able to make it seem almost easy. But I think it’s everybody was locked in, dialed in, understanding what we needed to do and just executing. I think that was our best execution game all year in all three phases. We were all playing complementary ball.”

Love finished 16-of-21 passing for 272 yards and three touchdowns. For the eighth time in his last nine games, he topped a 100 passer rating. During that span, he has 22 touchdown passes and only one interception.

“It’s very fun. That’s the challenge every week,” Love said in advance of Saturday night’s playoff game at the San Francisco 49ers.

“You have a great game plan and trying to make it come to life and, obviously, be able to handle all the different looks you might see from them and just execute at a high level, making plays, keeping the ball moving, staying on the field and then obviously getting into the red zone and putting up points. It’s fun to be a part of, but it’s everybody executing at a high level.”
