Coach Matt LaFleur played down the prospects of Davante Adams playing on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

“We’re all anxiously awaiting that. And I think everybody will know about 90 minutes before kickoff,” LaFleur said after Friday’s practice.

While LaFleur listed him as questionable on the injury report, Adams’ prospects most certainly are on the rise, as evidenced by him hurdling a member of the training staff at the start of practice.

Jimmy Graham saw the leap and spoke as if Adams’ return was set in stone.

“He’s not going to compromise himself,” Graham said. “Obviously, he’s one of the most athletic guys in the NFL. To see him jump over somebody just after getting back, especially two days before the game, it just lets you know the confidence he has in himself and that he’s feeling pretty good. Our offense is excited to have him back. His leadership on offense and really with our entire team is something we’re really looking forward to.”

Adams was limited participation at Friday’s practice after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday.

Adams hasn’t played in more than a month – he was injured during the fourth quarter of the Sept. 26 game against Philadelphia. This was his first week of practice since the injury. If Adams plays on Sunday, he won’t necessarily be on a snap count.

“It’s such a case-by-case basis in terms of how somebody’s feeling within the game,” LaFleur said. “We’ve had that multiple times this year with guys like Kevin King and you don’t know if he’s going to be in there and then he’s in there. Certainly we’re always mindful of a guy that’s been out for a while when you bring him back, in terms of you just don’t want to overload them. But typically those discussions take place during the game in terms of, you know, how you feeling? And you kind of work it out from there.”

For a second consecutive day, all 52 members of the team’s active roster participated at practice. The Packers could add safety Ibraheim Campbell, who’s on the physically unable to perform list following last year’s torn ACL, or tight end Jace Sternberger, who’s on injured reserve due to a preseason ankle injury, to give them a full 53-man squad. Whatever the number, LaFleur’s inactives list won’t be driven by the injury report. How will those decisions be made?

“I think you typically project that and we do that early in the week,” LaFleur said. “But there’s things that come up that you know, you might wait ‘until the tail end if you’re not quite sure if somebody’s going to be ready to go. But typically you like to project that, especially for our special teams, so that they can get a plan together and put guys in the right positions.”

Robert Tonyan was the only other player listed as questionable. The other 20 players on an enormously long injury report were removed.

For the Chargers, receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring) and left tackle Russell Okung (calf) are good to go. However, starting defensive linemen Justin Jones and Brandon Mebane and starting safety Roderic Teamer are doubtful.

CHARGERS INJURY REPORT
