GREEN BAY, Wis - The Green Bay Packers are walking wounded into Ford Field for Thursday's matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Aaron Jones can breathe a sigh of relief that his season, which he thought could have been over, appears unlikely to require a stint on injured reserve.

“Very relieved,” LaFleur said on Tuesday afternoon. “It’s not anything long-term. We’ll just kind of work through that."

Darnell Savage's season appears ready to get back on track, but he will not see the field this week.

Savage and Jones were ruled out with a calf and knee injury respectively.

With Jones out, the Packers will be turning to Patrick Taylor and James Robinson presumably alongside AJ Dillon for Thursday's matchup

Taylor was signed earlier this week, and Robinson was signed to the active roster on Wednesday.

Taylor Couldn’t Turn Down Three Game Checks from Packers

Josiah Deguara has been banged up with a hip injury, that has limited his action each of the last two weeks.

He is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game. The Packers promoted Henry Pearson from the practice squad, presumably to take his place on offense and special teams.

Where things get interesting, is the group that is listed as questionable.

De'Vondre Campbell suffered a stinger in Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers but is still listed as questionable after not practicing on Monday or Tuesday.

Jaire Alexander missed Sunday's game against the Chargers as well. He's been limited with a back injury, and recently added a shoulder to his list of issues.

If Alexander can play, it would set up a matchup between him and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Alexander did not play the first time these two teams met, and St. Brown made a few plays in his absence.

St. Brown caught five passes for 56 yards and a 24-yard touchdown.

He's the Lions' go-to guy with nearly 900 yards receiving on the year.

AJ Dillon is listed as questionable with a groin injury. The Packers signed two running backs to the roster, but things could get interesting in a hurry if Dillon can't play.

Dillon has not had the season he has been hoping for, but he's the only running back on the roster who has been in the offense for the full season.

Patrick Taylor just got back to Green Bay after spending time in New England following his release from the Packers.

James Robinson has bounced in and out of town as well.

In a road game, the experience Dillon brings to the table is something that could prove very valuable for a young offense trying to find its way.

Dontayvion Wicks is coming off his best game of the season with 91 yards receiving. He's still in the concussion protocol and has a knee injury that limited him throughout the course of the week.

It would be surprising if he could clear the protocol before Thursday's game, but the questionable designation gives him a chance.

Finally, Rudy Ford is listed as questionable with a biceps injury that held him out of last week's game.

In his absence, Jonathan Owens and Anthony Johnson Jr. held down the fort.

Johnson Jr. has made a splash play in each of his two starts, including an interception against the Los Angeles Rams.

“I prepare to start each and every week just by how I go about my business,” Johnson Jr. said. “If you’re not preparing to win or preparing to start, then you’re preparing to lose. At any moment in time, your opportunity might come."

Another opportunity might be on its way for Johnson Jr. if Ford cannot go.
