Record-setting day has Jones up for weekly award
Following a record-setting four-touchdown performance at Dallas, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones is one of three finalists for the weekly FedEx Ground Player of the Week.
Jones joined Hall of Famer Jim Taylor (three times), Terdell Middleton and Dorsey Levens as the only Packers with four rushing touchdowns in a game; Jones and Taylor are the only players to do it on the road. Jones is the first player to rush for four touchdowns in a game against the Cowboys. Finally, Jones joined Shaun Alexander as the only backs since the 1970 merger to finish with 100 rushing yards, 75 receiving yards and four rushing touchdowns.
The nominees:
– Aaron Jones rushed for 107 yards on 19 attempts (5.6 average) and four touchdowns in the Packers’ 34-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He added seven receptions for 75 yards.
