Adam Schefter Says Bryce Young's Visit with Texans is a 'Waste of Time'

It appears Carolina has zeroed in on their guy.

What will the Carolina Panthers do with the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft? Well, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, he believes they will take Bryce Young out of Alabama.

On a recent segment of NFL Live, Schefter came out with a strong statement in regards to the Houston Texans hosting Young for a pre-draft visit.

"Bryce Young is going to visit the Houston Texans. I think it's a waste of time. I think the ship has sailed. I think Bryce Young is going to be the number-one pick. And they're not going to have a chance to take the guy that I think they would have liked to have taken. So now they're sitting there at number two and what do you do?

Obviously, the biggest question mark surrounding Young is his size. The height isn't really the main talking point, but more so his slender frame. Is he going to be able to take big hits without it damaging his ability to play at a high level? If he does end up in Carolina, the good news is he'll have arguably a top-10 unit protecting him with Ikem Ekwonu, Brady Christensen, Bradley Bozeman, Austin Corbett, and Taylor Moton to go along with one of the best blocking tight ends in the NFL, Ian Thomas.

The Panthers will still host C.J. Stroud and Will Levis for pre-draft visits next week. They completed one with Florida's Anthony Richardson a couple of days ago as well. Although all four are still technically in the race to be the top pick, it seems as if Young has established himself as the clear frontrunner.
