DJ Chark Reveals Jersey Number with Panthers
Nothing is official, but it appears that new Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Chark will be sporting No. 17 this upcoming season. Chark posted a picture of his locker on his Instagram story, which displays his name and number.
Chark wore No. 4 this past season with the Detroit Lions because kicker Michael Badgley occupied No. 17. With Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro owning No. 4 and No. 17 being open, Chark turns back to the number he wore during the first four years of his career in Jacksonville. During those four seasons, Chark recorded 147 receptions for 2,042 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Wide receiver Rashard Higgins wore No. 17 in 2022. He appeared in three games and recorded no stats.
