In this story:

Most view the Carolina Panthers' 2023 schedule as a fairly favorable slate. As a matter of fact, the ESPN FPI tabs it as the fourth-easiest schedule in the entire league. Despite that, the FPI believes the Panthers won't have much success in year one under head coach Frank Reich and rookie QB Bryce Young.

According to the ESPN FPI, the Panthers are only projected to win six games. Only one of those wins is projected to come on the road and that's in Week 13 at Tampa Bay. Based on the percentages, Carolina will roll into the bye week with an 0-6 record. I don't want to say that's sure as heck not going to happen but it's extremely unlikely. However, I do believe they could enter the bye at 2-4.

The end of the season appears to be an opportunity to finish strong with a projection of winning three of the last four games and four of the final six.

Here is how the FPI sees each game for the Carolina Panthers this season. The percentage is the chance of Carolina winning the game.

Week 1: at Atlanta Falcons - 47.2%

Week 2: vs. New Orleans Saints - 46.2%
