Former Panthers CB Keith Taylor Signs with Super Bowl Contender

A fresh start for the young corner.

Cornerback Keith Taylor Jr. was released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this week, but it didn't take long for him to find a new home in the NFL. Thursday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that he has officially signed to their practice squad.

Taylor was a sixth-round draft pick by the Panthers in 2021 and was unable to develop into the player the front office hoped he would become.

Over his two years in Carolina, Taylor appeared in 34 games (five starts) and recorded 67 tackles, six pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and a tackle for loss.

Due to the mounting injuries the Panthers suffered in the secondary at the end of last season, Taylor's role increased but was the culprit on several big plays down the field.
