In this story:

At the end of the 2022 season, Paul Domowitch of The 33rd Team tabbed the Carolina Panthers as the 19th-best team in the NFL. Considering the Panthers' 1-5 start to the season, finishing in the top 20 is pretty impressive.

But now, they will move forward with a new coaching staff, some new pieces on offense, and oh yeah, the top quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft, Bryce Young.

Carolina has done a lot to improve its roster but particularly on offense. The defense is already a top-10 unit and with the expected improvement on the other side of the ball, the Panthers are viewed as a serious threat in the NFC South.

Domowitch recently released his post-draft power rankings, putting the Panthers at No. 16. The Saints (19), Falcons (23), and Buccaneers (25) all sit behind the team that will likely start a rookie quarterback for the majority of the season.

"Good news: The Carolina Panthers’ four-year-long quarterback carousel – Kyle Allen, Teddy Bridgewater, Cam Newton, P.J. Walker, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield – is closed. Frank Reich and Bryce Young are going to make beautiful offensive music together.

"Bad news: The Panthers fortified their offense, but still need to upgrade a pass rush that had just 29 sacks last season."
