PFF Ranks Brian Burns in Second Tier of Pass Rushers

Carolina Panthers outside linebacker Brian Burns is considered to be one of the league's best pass rushers. He's notched 38 sacks and 77 QB hits in his four-year career and is coming off his best season yet in just about every statistical category possible.
According to Pro Football Focus, Burns is the last player in the second-best tier of pass rushers in the NFL, joining Haason Reddick (Eagles), Rashan Gary (Packers), Trey Hendrickson (Bengals), Von Miller (Bills), and Danielle Hunter (Vikings).
"Burns has recorded 30.5 sacks over the last three seasons — seventh most in the league — and his 174 total pressures ranked fourth. Nonetheless, his pass rush win percentage remains low, averaging just 10.5% over that time span. Becoming more consistent with how and when he wins is what he needs to do to rank higher on this list in the future."
Personally, I believe Burns should be slotted ahead of Gary, Hendrickson, and maybe even Miller at this point in his career. Considering 2022 was the first year Burns recorded double digit sacks, it would be hard to include him in the same conversation as Myles Garrett, T.J. Watt, or the Bosa brothers. But I do believe he is knocking on the door of being included amongst that group as Ejiro Evero's 3-4 scheme may be what unleashes his full potential.
