In this story:

The Panthers have 17 games on their schedule but some of them are more interesting than others. Instead of giving a way-too-early mini preview of each game, I thought it would make more sense to zero in on what I believe to be the five most entertaining games on the schedule.

No. 5: Week 10 at Chicago Bears (11/9, 8:15 p.m, Prime Video)

It's a shame this game isn't in Carolina but nonetheless, DJ Moore will get to see his old teammates and likely Mr. and Mrs. Tepper, who he became close with during his time as a Panther. I put this at No. 5 because I'm not exactly sure how competitive the Bears will be this year but the matchup against DJ is something that everyone wants to see.

No. 4: Week 6 at Miami Dolphins (10/15, 1 p.m., CBS)

Why Miami? This, in my opinion, will be an early indicator of whether or not this team is going to compete for a playoff spot this season. Can Donte Jackson and Jaycee Horn slow down the dynamic duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle? On the flip side, can Bryce Young have an efficient day through the air against Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard? He needs to if they want to leave South Beach with a win. Miami had the fourth-best run defense in the league in 2022. We'll have a lot of questions answered in this game.

No. 3: Week 11 vs. Dallas Cowboys (11/19, 1 p.m., FOX)

Everyone likes to get a crack at beating the Cowboys. Although the boys from Dallas may no longer reign supreme in the NFC East, they are a quality team with a high-powered offense. By this point in the season, the Panthers should have their front seven figured out and it'll be interesting to see how they compete against one of the top o-lines in the league. If Carolina beats Dallas, it will certainly grab the attention of those around the NFL.

No. 2: Week 1 at Atlanta Falcons (9/10, 1 p.m., FOX)

It's Bryce Young's first game in a Panther uniform, so that's why I have it so high on the list. If this game were anywhere else on the schedule, it probably doesn't even make the cut. There's not much to be thrilled about with the Falcons' roster other than Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson.

No. 1: Week 2 vs. New Orleans Saints (9/18, 7:15 p.m., ESPN)

Some of you may disagree but I put the home debut for Young above his NFL debut. The energy inside and around Bank of America Stadium that Monday night will be unlike anything Panthers fans have seen since Cam Newton was here...the first time. A big game from Bryce against the Saints in primetime will immediately make him the king of the Queen City.
