Thomas Brown Talks Downfield Passing Game, Cohen's Workout, Chark's Value + More
The offensive line's performance vs. Atlanta
"I would say the overall o-line just in general, the mentality...I thought we were really good from a physicality standpoint. I thought our execution was well as far as making sure we ID'd the right way, the combination work was good, pushing the pile. I thought our runners ran hard as well talking about Miles [Sanders] and Chuba [Hubbard]."
Lack of downfield passing game
"I believe it was two attempts down the field over twenty yards. We'll always have scheme plays when it comes to early downs but as you mentioned, shot plays. I thought we moved the ball effectively. I thought it was more about us cleaning up those mistakes and getting back to our bread and butter."
When Tarik Cohen can bring to the offense and when he could be active
"I attended the workout obviously and watched him in person. I've seen him from afar. I don't know him personally, but I mean, he was juiced up, had a great look about himself, and he moved really well. I think it's about bringing him along the right way so we have to put him in a safe and healthy environment to kind of get back into playing football. But who knows? Could be next week, two weeks down the road. Not going to put a timetable on that."
What a potential DJ Chark return brings to the offense
"More depth overall. I mean, obviously, DJ has been a big part of what we've been building so far. Was highly effective for us throughout all phases of the offseason and training camp as well. We'll still have a healthy rotation in general, but definitely looking forward to getting him back at some point."
Thoughts on Bryce Young's debut
"I just loved his overall demeanor and his approach. He's always calm, cool, and collected. But when it comes to when we make plays showing fire, showing emotion for the first time in that setting, it was great to be able to see."
