Want to know what the opposing head coach says about your Carolina Panthers each week? We got you covered. Here are a few quotes from Atlanta Falcons header Arthur Smith on this week's matchup with Carolina.

Preparing for Carolina's special teams

"They may have a trick play of the week. I know that's been a thing with [Johnny] Hekker and going back to his history and [Chris] Tabor. I'm sure they got something cooked up. You got to make sure disciplined snap in, snap out."

Carolina's defense

"Some of the personnel we're pretty familiar with, especially the defensive side. They invested a lot of draft capital in the defense the last couple years and it's certainly paid off. They still, in my opinion, have one of the best inside backers in the league in Shaq Thompson. Smart player. He's tough. Sets the tone. We are familiar with the personnel. Scheme, obviously different on that side of the ball with Ejiro [Evero] coming over from Denver. We know we got out work cut out for us."

Carolina's offense

"Offensively, they've got a pretty big offensive staff. A lot of guys coming from a lot of different places, so I'm sure you'll see the mash up of that. Frank Reich, somewhat familiar with him [me] being in Tennessee. I think he does a heck of a job. I know a lot of things focus on that quarterback and as it should be. He's a great player. Took him with the first pick overall. They've got some veteran pass catchers, so it'll be a battle."

Preparing for Bryce Young

"With someone like Bryce, he's been in a lot of big time games and certainly been under the pressure cooker at Alabama. I don't want to speak for him, but I imagine the moment wouldn't be too big for him. He's got some veterans around him at right tackle, the tight end room, and [Adam] Thielen and those guys that can help him. And he's got a veteran coaching staff. Every year there's unknown in Week 1. People save stuff. They were pretty basic in the preseason for the most part. He's a good player."
