Zero Panthers Rank in PFF's 'Top 25 Under 25'

In this story:
Many of Carolina's stars are now 25 years old or older but there are a couple that still have a few years before they hit that mark. In a recent article by Pro Football Focus, left tackle Ikem Ekwonu and cornerback Jaycee Horn were not featured as part of the top 25 players under the age of 25.
Ekwonu may only have one year under his belt but he had a strong rookie campaign and improved as the season went along. He's positioned himself well to be considered one of the top young offensive tackles in the entire National Football League.
"Boy, he's really grown," Panthers offensive line coach James Campen said earlier this week. "I tell you and I know he wouldn't mind me saying this but the big thing is they were really run-oriented and jump-setting at NC State and teaching him how to vertical pass set at this level, he struggled for a few weeks. We got to about the middle of training camp and he started to figure things out. He is so far ahead of where he was last year and it's a testament to him. He's done work in the offseason before coming back and being in this environment with phase one, phase two. He's setting on the line, he's fluid. He's asking for change-up things to do with his hands, so he's way ahead of where he was last year."
The other guy that should have been mentioned on the list, Jaycee Horn, may have been left off due to injury concerns. In his first two seasons, Horn has played in just 16 games. But when he's been on the field, he's lived up to the expectations of being a top-10 draft pick.
