A New Number for Diontae Johnson?

Sometimes a change of scenery is all a player needs to truly reach his full potential. And heck, sometimes even something as simple as a new jersey number can make you feel good. Just ask Shaq Thompson.
Well, new Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson sent out a tweet Thursday afternoon, hinting that he will sport a new number in 2024.
That 5 gon look good on me 😎💯

Johnson wore No. 18 in each of his five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and wore No. 3 during his college days at Toledo. Fellow wide receiver Jalen Camp, who spent the final month of the 2023 season on the Panthers' practice squad, currently holds the rights to No. 18. Running back Raheem Blackshear wears No. 3.
Last season, wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. made the switch from No. 15 to No. 5 and he has yet to agree to terms on a deal with any team, remaining an unrestricted free agent.
