Bucs LB Devin White Requests Trade

Some significant NFC South news.
In this story:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be heading for a rebuild. They haven't made very many moves this offseason and the few signings they have made haven't been significant moves that will truly help them compete in 2023.

They've already lost Tom Brady to retirement and moved on from LT Donovan Smith, G Shaq Mason, DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches, CB Sean Murphy-Bunting, S Keanu Neal, and S Mike Edwards.

Now, they may be on the verge of losing one of the best defensive players on the roster, linebacker Devin White.

According to Jenna Laine of ESPN, White has submitted a trade request with the team. Laine also reports that the Bucs do not want to trade the star linebacker but they may not have a choice but to do so. He will be playing under a fifth-year option in 2023 and if he has no interest in remaining in Tampa Bay beyond this season, it would be wise for the Bucs to try and get something for him instead of letting him walk in free agency next offseason.

In four years with the Buccaneers, White has accumulated 483 tackles, 55 QB hits, 35 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, 15 pass breakups, and six forced fumbles.
