Cam Newton Dishes Takes on Current Quarterbacks

The former MVP is under fire on social media for his opinion.
In this story:

Cam Newton is one of the best quarterbacks to ever touch a football. Full stop.

His all-world physical make-up combined with his top-tier (yes, top-tier) passing made for an impossible puzzle for opposing defenses to solve. From day one in the NFL, Newton proved he belonged on the field with the best athletes in the world.

His podcast game, on the other hand, is not so convincing for many.

On his 4th and 1 Podcast, Newton gave his opinions on a couple of current NFL passers, and people are up in arms.

Cam Newton Gives a List of QBs He'd Be 'Willing to Backup' in 2023

Newton bunched quarterbacks into two different categories. He referred to a couple as "difference-makers" (Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson), and a couple as "game managers" (Brock Purdy, Tua Tagovailoa, Jared Goff, and Dak Prescott).

Say what you want about Newton, but the man knows how to get a reaction out of people.

His play on the field drew oohs and aahs from some, but he left much to be desired from others. If you were on social media at all today, you probably saw some people out there who said Newton was spot on, and others who questioned if the former league MVP really knows ball.

When it comes to strictly on the field play, is there a more polarizing player in the history of the NFL? Those who didn't watch him week in and week out are quick to criticize him, but the Panthers fans that ride for Newton are ready to defend their quarterback at the drop of a hat. Turns out that even in his post playing days, Superman elicit a similar reaction.
