With the regular season right around the corner, NFL.com made their annual list of the 'Top 100 Players of 2019'.

The first Carolina Panther to make the list was Cam Newton, who rang in at No. 87. He dealt with shoulder injury in 2018 that limited him and ultimately left him on the lower end of the list.

Carolina's newest addition to the list was Gerald McCoy, who was ranked at No. 75. McCoy is joining the Panthers after spending his first nine seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is a six-time Pro Bowler, and he still has plenty of gas in the tank.

The addition of McCoy is going to give the Panthers a very good shot at being named the NFL's best defensive front. Carolina is returning Kawaan Short and Mario Addison -- but they also went out and got Bruce Irvin, Brian Burns and Christian Miller this offseason.

As for McCoy's individual statistics -- he's recorded a minimum of six sacks since 2013. Aside from being injured in 2011, he hasn't missed more than three games in a season. He's totaled 54.5 sacks, 79 tackles for loss and 140 quarterback hits in his career.

He will be a game-changer in Carolina and could potentially be the driving force that makes the Panthers a contender.
