The Carolina Panthers had a few players in this week trying out for the team during minicamp. Thursday afternoon, they signed one of those tryout guys to get the roster back up to 90, inking veteran corner Greg Mabin.

Mabin has appeared in 45 games throughout his six-year career, starting seven of those games. He signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa in 2017 but was released just a few days after. Mabin was then scooped up by the Buffalo Bills where he played in one game before finishing out his rookie season with the San Francisco 49ers.

Since, Mabin has bounced around the league quite about, spending time with the Bengals, Jaguars, and Titans. In his two seasons with the Titans, Mabin recorded 23 tackles, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble.

With Donte Jackson working his way back from an Achilles injury and Jaycee Horn recovering from a foot/ankle injury, the Panthers needed to add some depth at corner. Don't be surprised if this isn't the last addition they make to the room ahead of training camp.
